My buddy bone stock 95 Accord would stall and sometimes die at a stop if the AC is on but if the AC is not on car would not die, i need dome advise where to start to look for the problems i'm thinking its the alternator...

 

The alternator charges the battery, it would have nothing to do with the AC compressor making the car stall out.

Is the compressor locking up? Can you increase the idle with the AC on and the car stays running? or is it as soon as you turn on the compressor the car dies instantly?

I dont think the compressor is locking up the AC still blow cool and yes if you increase the idle the car will still run.

 

A/C i beleive will lower the idle. But it seems the idle is low to begin with. Id check vacuum hoses for leaks.

 

I had this happen before. I just kept revving the engine for a while. drove around and it was fine again. It happens to me when I don't turn on my AC for a long time. It could be as simple as that. Other member's reply are still good too.

 

is the idle air boost valve working?
What is the idle RPM with the car in park?
What is the idle RPM with the car in park and A/C on?
What happens to the idle RPM when you step on the brake pedal?
Has the IACV ever been cleaned or the throttle plate?
