Worry about MPFI swap first. Then start other things.

1k total, on a dx I don't see a turbo setup happening unless you are crafty or get deals like no joke.

if its the stock dual point motor, i would even worry about turbo it honestly, cause you wouldn't get much of a difference.
like people have said throughout your post, worry about the mpfi conversion first, and then get a stronger motor.

See how much nicer that is after a few seconds of work?

Once you get the mpfi out of the way, yes you could turbo the motor. Really a mini me is also not a bad idea to look into.

first, do the mpfi swap, or complete motor swap... that alone will get you more power....

Call up this guy buy his MPFI stuff and do an MPFI swap. Take the rest of the money buy a new motor with good compression or rebuild the old one. If you have any money left over get an A6 cam and send it to delta and/or buy a header.

Once all this is accomplished start looking for a possible turbo. Unless you just wanna throw money at a turbo setup that will destroy your motor. Then you would have to rebuild/buy a motor and be out all the money you blew on a busted turbo system.

Or you could just check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com. There's a guy on there with a DPFI turbo setup. He says it's fast as hell. I'm a little skeptical though.

it sounds like you dont have that much money to work with. so I would do the mpfi swap. and while your at it convert to obdI min me swap like a z6 head. then just bolts on. Im sure that will be faster than how your sitting right now. Idk where you live but if you lived in so cal or near I would go to hmotors. $400 for a sohc zc cant really beat it.

if you want better speed of the line a get an si tranny.

gut the interior, remove all the AC, remove the stereo and speakers... your car just got like 5% lighter and it costs nothing.

Do mpfi swap and get a full exhaust. Yes, you want to use pm-6 ecu. I don't think 100,000 mile motor is too high mileage. I would turbo it and start saving for a replacement motor.
