Gsr sputters and tach jumps at higher rpms!!!
I have a 93 civic with a gsr and whenever i punch it the tach starts jumpin up and down and then sputters when it gets higher up. i just kinda started doing it one day and I've since changed the distro cap, rotor, and wires but still no go. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Check your coil supply wire, if you cut it for a swap, or for a replacement distributor, it may have corroded, causing and intermittent cut out. The wire color is blk/yel in your distributor harness, this happened to me and I discovered it has corroded after I had a high load misfire.
An ICM is basically a transistor box, when they go they either work, or they don't, so if your car runs, the ICM should be fine.

i had a bad icm, it ran fine until above 5-6000 rpm. car cut out and tach jumped all over the place. i tried one from a d series , it fit and worked. wouldnt recommend it, but id say replace the icm

i had the same problem, but previous owner had spliced into the wire for a tach or something when i got it there was just electrical tape over it, had the crazy miss whenever it decided to until one day messing around got it to do it while wiggling the wire by accident. worth looking at.
