Default 91 Si....CAR WONT START!!!....idk whats wrong with it. EFI??? Distributor?? ECU??/

Ok so i have a 1991 Si hatch...recently did an engine sawp. just a 1.6 Single Non Vtec. So the car has been running fine up until last night.. I was driving normally when out of nowhere the car just stalls out. I pull off the road. Tried to start it again and it will crank and turn but will not start. I check the temp, fuses etc... Idk what is wrong with it. Some say it is the EFI relay others say it is an ignition problem. I have no idea. If anyone has any ideas please let me kno. Thanks alot.!EFI??

The distributor is brand new...some people are sayin it may be the efi because the car has a a swap from dual port to multi port fuel injection..

Hey bro, you really should check the distributor. I had this exxact same problem with my 91. Check to make sure that the set-screw that holds the rotor onto the dizzy shaft is still in there and tight.
Mine fell out and caused the same problem u just described.
Be careful though when u take the cap off that you dont lose the screw if it did fall out.
Just my opinion.
Good luck and let me know what you find.

If what was mentioned doesn't already work do this:

When you put the key into the "on" position the CEL light for a few seconds and you shoudl be able to hear the fuel pump prime. If that doesn't work then reseat the Main Relay or try a new one.

Also are you throwing any CEL's at all? Sometimes you can have a stored code and the CEL ph the cluster won't light up.
