can't find out how to fix my idling problem
I already checked all my vacuum hoses, cleaned my IACV, and I checked for air bubbles in my coolant and I still can't figure out what it can be.
What I did notice was that it only idles funny, 1200rpm-1700rpm, when my oil temperature (original in dash) reads low. It only does this when I'm at a stop, not when my car is warming up.
Also, when I was checking for air bubbles in my coolant, my fan never turned on and I left it on for at least 15mins with the heater on full blast. I'm thinking that this might be why my oil temperatures keep moving.
I don't know what to do next. Should I change the fan and flush out the coolant? Is there something else that I should be looking for?
This problem is on my 97 gsr. I have stage 1 camshafts with cam gears, but I already got it tuned so timing shouldn't be the problem. Can it have something to do with my intake manifold? I have a aebs IM. Please help in anyway possible. Sorry if I wasn't clear with my typing and TIA.

well you could have a bad colant temp sensor that works the fan or blown fuse
if you jump the colant sensor your fan should come on if it doesnt start checking all wiring

I replaced my intake manifold gasket not too long ago and it looks like it's okay.

A dirty IACV causes idle probs. but you cleaned it already. Did you clean with carb cleaner and q-tips? Brake cleaner doesn't do a good cleaning.
Try cleaning the FITV but this is probably not the problem because the FITV works at the initial start of the car.
Try unbolting the throttle body and cleaning it. Remember to get a new gasket when reinstalling.

I used brake cleaner for the iacv and it looked pretty clean. Maybe i'll try to clean it again with carb cleaner. The throttle body might need cleaning. I even reused my old TB gasket when I installed my intake manifold. I'll look into these things. Thanks!

Well, when I got it tuned the car was already idling weird. I was hoping after I got it tuned the idling problem would go away. The problem is, the idling problem only occurs when my engine is not fully warmed up or if I drive on the freeway for awhile and then come to a stop. So, right after the tune I thought it was okay. I might just ask my tuner to check it out for me.
