Default how to determine wheel size.....

when i bought my integra, the kid included a set of rota slipstreams and the tires need to be replaced. that's not a problem, but one of the rims cant be used and needs to be replaced, but i don't know the size of it. i know they are 16s, but thats about it.. anyway to determine the rest of it? maybe from the tire size (215/40/16)? or is there anywhere on the rim that says it??

it's either 16x6.5 4x100+45mm, 16x7 4x100+40mm/45mm, or 16x8 4x100+48mm... how do i determine the 16x___ part/and the 4x100+___mm part?

thanks

I'm pretty sure they have a sticker on outside part of the rim that tells you the size, but with tires on its not visable. If your getting new tires.... slash your tires and check lol

Sometimes it's molded into the wheel somewhere. Take one off and check.

For the width, you can also try measuring (with the tire off the wheel). The width measurement is taken at the bead, where the tire seats. The outer edge of the lip of the wheel is usually, but not always, about one inch wider than the nominal width at the bead.

BTW, when you replace the tires, get 205/45-16 or 215/45-16. That 215/40-16 size is too small for an Integra.

Indeed, I believe my Slipstreams had the size stamped into them, and as St Jimmy stated, I am almost positive that it was also printed on a sticker affixed to the wheel. My guess is that they are most likely 16x7, but it will certainly be a good idea to double-check before ordering a replacement.

make sure before you junk the old tires you burn em up nice... its always fun, but not fun to wreck new expensive tires.

Look either on the outside edge of the wheel, or on the inside (back side of the wheel) near the center, or back side of the spokes.

There should be something like 7x16 JJ, which of course means 16x7. There should also be something else like ET+40 which means +40mm offset.

also, can someone suggest me inexpensive, but reliable lug nuts for the rota slipstreams. preferably black, but i guess it doesn't matter.

wish I could help you there. I have some black tapered-seat acorn-style (closed end) lug nuts that are longer than the stock lug nuts, that I use on my Rota C-10's, but I don't know where they came from. My buddy gave them to me when I bought the wheels off him.

There is currently a special in the Sponsor's Marketplace for Muteki or Kyokugen lug nuts, available in a variety of finishes including black.
