save your money, buy parts that will make a difference in power and not "rice" and you'll be ok...just research and do it right..dont cheap out and cut corners or you'll end up with crap

Do an engine swap...it'll cost you 1000 at most to swap in a complete D15B vtec.

Look for an Ex/Si man trans. Swap everything. Rinse. Repeat.

Swap or boost.

The B7 is an economy motor, it is not meant for power and has even less torque - torque is what gets you up hills.

EDIT:
You can dump 1k in parts in it and still only have 20+ hp.

If you wanna waste your time picking up an Ex/Si trans (shortest D series USDM for 5g civics) go for it - You might be like "wow, definitely feels better" - but you sure as expletive wont' be like "OMG OMG HOLY **** I'M OWNING THIS HILL"

Small difference at best.

Definitely not worth it IMO.

go to the JY and pick up both a EX/Si manual transmission and a d16z6 head, then you may be able to make a little more power outta your little b7.

wow, this is awesome! thanks for all the ideas. i think im leaning toward the d15b now. what do you all think of that? i dont have much money but i could maybe afford that some time soon. plus i will have extra stuff if anything breaks. the d15b has vtec and around 130hp and 112 lbs right? compresson is about 9.5:1 what would you guys think of putting a jackson on it later? the outside of the car would be bone stock lol. nobody would ever expect that.

thanks

dizzle, you can get a full b18b swap with everything you need for 1000 or less. I'll help ya find something. You could put 500 bucks in the d-series and you still wont be nearly satisfied as a b powerplant. Were puttin the d series in the lake along with mine.
