f22 turbo
i have a Brand new Mitsubishi TD04HL-16T-8.5 turbocharger with 1 bar of booost set at 14.7 psi. i have 440 cc injectors and a fullexhaust system. The turbo came with a intercooler oil return kit manifold bov piping. It was everything except down piping. I talked to some people about how to lower the psi and they said i had the switch the spring. Other people said that i could just by a boost controler? But other than that what else do i need?
Looks like the only other major thing you're missing is tuning stuff. The most important part of any engine is the management, so you definately need to get something. Hondata, Crome, whatever you like...
The weak point on that F22 block is going to be the piston ringlands. If your tuner is good he may be able deal with 1 bar safely or he may not be able to. If not, yeah you should be able to change the wastegate spring to lower the boost (not an expert in internal gates myself
). As I understand it a boost controller will only let you raise the boost, not lower it.

i have a mitsu boosted f22 you can not put in a lower psi spring. internally gated wastegate turbos cant not be opened up. hahn racecraft makes a wastegate that is gated for 5 psi or u could just attach a, i dunno what you want to call it but, a hooked spring that will relieve some of the tension to the wastegate spring in theory lowering the pressure needed to open the wastegate. i would build the motor for higher boost it is easier because ur going to blow the motor eventually no matter what ur tuner does so u might as well blow the engine with 15 psi then 5 psi.
