if your going to be getting kpro and other mods, then yes its worth it. only other manifolds i know of are blox, and IB-spec (which is a reworked rbc manifold). i might be selling mine if i decide to sell my rsx

yes its worth buying if you have a way to tune your car.. with out that it does not help.. and can hurt perfomance.. as far as aftermarket ones.. blox..kinda crappy, IB spec port and polished RBC, Magnus< hardcore, IPS who knows the cost and time when it could come out, Skunk2 aparently workin on a composit design from what i hear its in final stage of development... aftermarket good ones are in the grand to 2 grand range.. when they come out.

yes its worth it
you'll use the full potential of it if used with k-pro (as with any other mods)
but you'll still get some gains without a ecu upgrade
don't expect a drastic change in power
but for the price, i think its worth it and i plan on getting one

You know what's sad (but not in a bad way if you're lookin at an OEM point of view).. is that the OEM RBC mani is still more powerful then any other aftermarket IM for the K-series.

good price on the hondaautomotiveparts.com, but considering I have to then buy a new gasket, Throttle body adapter, bolts and so on... heh its no longer a "cheap" mod by any means.

Oh well, Ill still be seduced by it eventually hehe

Here is a pic of the Magnus Manifold on my Car. I'm getting it tuned tomorrow at Church Automotive. I'm on stock Cams so I doubt it will do much until I put in my Skunk 2 cams. What am I doin wrong, I tried to put the IMG at the end? Thanks for the help.

yeah that
i'm only interested in seeing before and after dynos
but seeing that you already have it on
your dyno won't mean much
especially since its going on a church dyno (higher readers)
the im does look kinda strange though, not bad

Ohh the dyno will mean lots folks. I had a perfect tune and I made 226whp on the dynapack. This is after a perfect tune. The only changes I made was the manifold. So aside from the different day on the dyno. Everything else is the same. And yes it should outflow the RBC. This is a full race part that took years to develop. As much as I like the RBC, it is still a stock piece and the Magnus is a full Race intake Manifold. I believe the gains will be similar on my STOCK CAMS, but with cams I believe it will be superior. For the money I still say the RBC is the best bang for the buck.

what did you make before the mani?
how would we know how much you gained from it
you could of made 220whp prior to the upgrade
not knocking the product
i'm just curious
thanks for the update btw

Good Question. By the way If I could have installed it and dyno'd it on the same day same conditions I would have. Luckily I have my dyno sheet from Shawn Church. I put down 226.5whp and it is very possible that I could have lost horsepower and torque from the upgrade. Bigger Plenum to fill and I'm on stock cams and Throttle body. I also raced my friends car "we always compare parts" and there was no improvement. This is expected since I now need a new tune. I'm hoping for 235whp or so but I may end up with the same old song.

If that's the case Ohh well someone had to try this part out....But either way I'm stickin with it. I'm goin to the dyno at 11:00am and it is record breaking heat out in so cal right now. Like 100 degree weather where Church Auto is. This will not make my #s look any better either.

I'm glad I'm doing it on a dynapack because the wheel and tire will not affect the actual gains of the part. As you know on a dynojet 5psi difference in tire pressure or a less than perfect alignment can throw off numbers by as much as 15whp!

The magnus just dyno'ed low. The dyno specs are on k20a.org it's more of a 10,000rpm high range manifold. RBC is the bang for buck. Tuned people have seen as much as 10-15whp on somewhat built engines.
