Default lowering springs

i wanna lower my 07 sedan but my parents wont let me because it'll void the warranty. if i lower it i have to get a lip so i can be like yeh the lip makes it look lower (tell my mom that) BUT if i have a lip and i lower it i cant get it in the driveway and i need to put my car in the garage especially since people egged my car yesterday
advice?

Sucks about the egging.
If your parents are giving you issues, check into the HFP suspension that is FULLY warranteed at Honda.

also, welcome to the site

too bad you didn't look into this before you bought the car.. could have had the HFP suspension and lip kit financed along with the car..

Most parents suck when it comes to modding cars but be happy they bought you a brand new car in the first place.
Now.. hurry up and get some comptech springs and get them installed behind your parents back. They'll never notice the drop and you'll be happy.

Get 1" drop so it's less noticeable. My car didn't even make it to 200 mile mark when I dropped it. lol

there ya go man.

my parents were a whole hell of a lot more lenient when i was in highschool. they were against me swapping out my old d series until i told them the b-series would make my car more reliable

with just springs alone you should have no problems getting up the driveway.

Some parents are clueless. Even if you lowered it unless they took pics of your car that they can reference to... I DOUBT they would even notice.

lowering springs will not void the warranty.if u have a suspension prob down the road they dont have to warranty the problem. the dealer has to prove the springs caused the problem in the end

Well, if the struts blow-out because of lowering springs (which has happened on a couple SI's), there is no way Honda will warranty the repair, or any other damage that is remotely connected to the aftermarket springs and/or broken struts.

Not sure if this is what you are saying. Just wanted to clearify for the poster.

Regardless, you are safe with HFP suspension and having Honda install them.

17, driving a brand new car payed by the rents, and you're already trying to do **** to it behind their back?

Maybe it's just me.. but be thankful you have a brand new car. I think your parents have the right to say no to any sort of mod, especially suspension. It's THEIR investment, and they should protect it however they see fit.

You just said you can't get into the driveway if you lower it.. so you're now gonna be scraping the hell out of the bottom of their car? Probably a bad idea.

Yeah.. they could get mad, cuz they told you not to do **** to their car, and you're still trying to.

Warranty or not, maybe they just want the car to remain stock. It's their choice, right?

Wrong sir.

Warranty cannot be "voided". A warranty claim may be "denied" if an aftermarket part directly leads to the failure of another part or system of the vehicle.

Please tell your parents they have been misled and to read this article. Sadly I doubt they will be receptive.
