COLD air intakes=save gas?
I couldnt really tell a BIG difference? Reason 1, as much as it will save gas...it wont be significant enough to be noticed. Reason 2...I drive hard already...with the intake i drive even harder...
I would say yes. On the RSX, it was sucking all the gas when revving high. Now with the SR, it doesn't. On my 96 Accord, it works a little. I know I saved a little more gas.
If you drive nice and easy they do increase your mpg. If you like to run the rpms up and drive fast then you really won't see any mpg gains. So to answer you question....it depends (on you).

yeah im gonna go out on a limb and say no
if you drive normal (you wont) the ECU will compensate for the cooler air by adding more fuel
id say go short ram or stay stock
my mpg fell flat on its face cuz i was going WOT as often as possible

Well....practically YES, because cold air contains more oxygen, so burning process is perfect (means that no fuel left unburned), and you will feel that your car has more power, too. You can also feel the different when you drive your car at night and at 12.00 at noon (when the weather is very hot).

It is more than enough for daily drive, dude. If your intake go to the bottom of your car, you will have a risk of water sucking into your IM. If water get in your IM, you can say 'good bye' to your engine.

That helps save gas though. Car doesn't run, there for no need for gas. The gas in your tank will last a very long time.
Sorry.
I've always ran a short ram with a block off plate. I CAI for me....rainy Seattle.

put the OEM back on and my MPG was back to where it was

probably because you rev a lot more than before the intake to hear that intake sound, thats why u lost mpg. hahah.

I have the K&N 69 series on my 2003 Accord EX V6, and I dont know if theres a gain in MPG, but I do know the overall response of the car has dramatically increased.. I have really noticed an upgrade in torque, and response to how the car drives.. I would recommend one.
