killer numbers... and I know Hytech has done projects with Hondata, so I imagine the "kit" they talk about includes a custom reflash.. John's been all about the k20's since they came out, he's done his homework here I'm sure... I wanna hear more

You asked for more I found more....

Nathen
We have a few variations on the kits depending on power and price range. The basic kits is header, 2 1/2 exhaust, cams, oil pan baffle and intake. The other kits include ported heads, rods, pistons, etc. The basic kit price is 4,000.00 and goes up from there. That dyno is the basic kit.

Must be too early in the morning out there I just called and didnt get an answer. So I emailed him back to see if this is done on a reflash or not. I can't believe this though. Prolly the best thing i've heard since I got this car. 260whp All Motor. Sends chills down my spine.

I want in... that's super/turbo charged numbers... granted it's priced similarly to a decent turbo or supercharger setup, but you get to stay NA.. intake, exhaust, and cams.. pretty amazing stuff

keep me posted

260whp NA is much faster than 260whp turbo Granted, traction is going to be a big big problem.

that's flywheel HP in that dyno ...
so 260 Flywheel = about 240 wheel give or take a few

then why does the dyno chart say flywheel hp?

Although it does also say "dynapack &lt;br /&gt; chassis dynamometers"

X2

ask church's or hytech why it says flywheel hp (instead of us)... they are probably gonna be the only ones that actually know

For starters turbo spool time, another would be power band.

wow man i am with you with the 2nd post tonight. hahaha.

with 240 or whatever whp, it will eat up the turbo one becauseeeeeee you get power all the way thru those power bands...instead of turbo spooling up and then getting power.

We ran two different fuels 91 and 96 octane. The midrange power numbers were down a little with the 91 since we took out some timing. But 12 to 1 with these motors with the right combustion chamber spec's it is no problem. The peak power there was no change. It is still DBW.

This kit was intended for durability and drivability. On the dyno sheet the other run was a base line stock motor. The pricing for this kit if we sell them in group buys is around 4,000.00</TD></TR></TABLE>

holy expletive.

well you'd need to compare a turbo dyno chart and this one to find out which has more area under the curve to acutally determine if that was true or not... great idea, and I get what your sayin... but

is probably not the best way to say it.. does anyone have an AJP turbo kit dyno chart link we could compare to? because I would like to compare powerbands

i've seen some fully built N/A cars...woop up on some monster turbo cars....i figured the N/A has a wider powerband...getting power all the way thru those RPMS. and you have to wait for the turbo to spool up and then you have power. you know what i mean?

i am sure if you compare dyno sheets of a n/a car and one of a turbo car, there will be alot more torque under the curve for the turbo car, assuming same power levels (ie 240rwhp to 240rwhp).
