I did a b swap to an EK and kept the D series radiator. I notice the hoses are a tad bigger than the actual nipple on the radiator. So I rigged it but the lower hose is leaking where the thermostat is.

So I buy an EM1 Si radiator. I havn't tested it yet but wanted to know if the the nipple on the Si radiator is bigger than that of a D series. Help.

 

It should work, but most people in hybrid swaps get a del sol radiator.

Go with the Si radiator.

Both are dual core, and both are for b-series. Either will work just the same.

(they're for the same engine)

 

i dunno if it's just me but the nipple on the Si radiator looks about the same as the D series. Might be just me tho. I'll just have to buy the radiator hoses and test fit them.

 

Well I got the radiator and the guy gave the b series hoses. I fit the hoses on the radiator but the hoses were bigger than the radiator nipple. bummer. The guy swears that the radiator came from a 00 Si. Oh well, he's cool about it.

I think i'll just get one of those ebay b series aluminum radiators. What do you guys think of those?

 

get a mishimoto, i believe thats how tis spelled...only like $100, and $150 with a fan

 

IMO, hit a junkyard and jack any VTEC del sol radiator. Make sure the car you're pulling it out of has/had a b16 in it.

Should be dirt cheap, and it's the right one.

 

it aint that easy to find a vtec del sol these days...

 

ur right it aint. those mishimomo ones are rather expensive. and there's this seller on ebay selling b series with 1.25 inch inlets and outlets. Under 100 picked up.

 

Sure, try one of the ebay ones. Just try to get a dual core.

 

the B series hoses are slighty larger then D series (nothing a worm clamp can't handle), if you want to get a new radiator get one from a 96-00 D series automatic, cheap stock dual core
