over torqued
This just gets better and better. A friend of mine sent me the wrong torque values for the brake system on my car. By wrong I mean 40% too much torque. I just recieved my manual today which is how I found out. I planned to retorque the bolts tomorrow but now I'm thinking maybe I should replace them. Think that might be overkill??

Re-torquing the bolts should do be fine but it's never a bad call to replace OEM hardware.

contribution to OP: i think if the bolts didnt fail while over-torque-ing them they may be fine, i wouldnt want to driv on over stressed stuff though so revert to oem spec torque
