I have a 5spd 2000 EX, and about 3 out of 5 times when I first drive the car after sitting a while (home or 8-12hr shift) when I first drive off, usually after in 3rd going about 40 the engine dies for a second... I am wondering if it is related, but it feels more like a gas cut off, since the car jerks forward a little... Nothing is affected but the motor (electrically or otherwise)... I am wondering if its possible that maybe a bubble or so forms while the car is parked...

Anyone have any suggestions..?? Oh, over 110k miles...

check ignition switch, if the contacts are fried, it will cut out after a while.....the more it fries, it will likely get worse.
