tranny / driveshaft issue
so I just bought a 99 DC, and what the guy I bought it from told me was, that the passenger side axle half keeps pulling out of the side of the tranny. I can't figure out why it would come out unless: 1. he didn't get it into the tranny all the way, 2. maybe the old snap ring is somehow stuck in the tranny and won't allow the new one to snap in, 3. maybe it's the wrong shaft for the car.
the frame isn't wicked bent or anything to not allow it to go in far enough. So where there different lengthed drive shafts for the DC chassis, and maybe he got the wrong one? Could there be something dicked up in the tranny that won't hold the shaft in? In the case that the transmission is shot, will a transmission from a B18a1 bolt into a B18b1? I realized that the A is cable and the B is hydro, but I'm curious because I have an extra tranny on a parts car.
any input would really help fellas.
thanks,
Brian
