Default Weight of rear windshieldwiper

besides the aesthetics,
how good is it for performance----how much weight does it shave off?
how easy is it to do it?
is it worth it?

thanks

easy to remove. hole easily plugged with OEM honda plug. I never used mine... i don't drive around in reverse often... especially in the rain. looks much cleaner also, imo.

probably 50 pounds or so...worth .05 secs in the quarter mile. nah but i would take mine off too if i didnt have all this other stuff i needed to do first, i think it looks alot cleaner w/out it. i HIGHLY doubt the weight is the reason why people take it off..

a honda dealership parts dept... it came on the 92-95 civic cx i think... i could be wrong though. do a quick search on this topic. it's been discussed A LOT (I know, I've read all the threads) and someone (forget who) was gracious enough to take extremely clear pics of the parts you need to buy from Honda in the bags, with the part# clearly shown. No mistakes there. Good luck
-Erik

PS- I'd say removing the wiper and arm saves about 7 pounds if I had to guess.

Default home depot

i just used a half inch bolt with some rubber washers. the bolt was galvanized and i used some duplicolor semi-gloss black paint to paint the bolt. it looks good IMO.

No real performance gain, don't waste your time. Get rid of the A/C unit and the Anti-lock system if you want to lose weight. But there is a trade off you'll have to deal with. Not sure that's what you want.

Or move your battery to the trunk. That's an idea...

It'd be lucky to weigh five lbs. But aesthetically, it's awesome...
