i saw this while looking through craigslist

1500$ for a 94 w/ h22 in it. I just called the seller (since hes local) and he said its near 200k miles but its been swapped b4, and that theres probably around 60-80k on motor. the only problem is theres a small oil leak from the oil cap. i thought the price was extremely low counting in that a 5spd h22 swap is already 1-2k.. and it has the nice 4thgen leather O.O;

 

I would consider it only for the interior swap. Who knows what the true mileage of that motor is ( unless the paperwork is legit ), body is all beat up. Not worth the time, money, and paint its going to cost you to bring it up to shape. Only buy it if you already own a 4th gen and looking for an upgraded interior for a swap. That car just looks like its trouble.

 

if it runs and it shifts buttery smooth, how much of a risk is it?

 

Then go fot it, and one more thing ... i drove a 4th gen that had 270,000 miles and it shifted like it only had 20,000. So don't judge a car by how it shifts if its a 5-sp.

 

lol im bout to head out to take a look, but if it shifts beautifully and the car still pulls hard when im smashing on the gas for the test drive, im sure its worth it. of course ill only be smashing on it to check gears and NOT for my own enjoyment. and how else do u check for oil leaks? get the oil thin out and motor out of comfort zone ! ^^
