Default Anyone ever buy a new filter for there CAI?

My friend has a AEM CAi and he wants to get a k & n filter for it, but we can't find the part number and no one can help us. Can anyone shed some light? It's for a civic but i think the integra would be close to the same.

You should only need a new K&N if it has 1,000,000 miles or if its broken other wise leave it alone and wash it every 50,000 miles.

K&N doesn't make the filters for AEM anymore. (Or, so says both AEM and K&N.) You can browse through K&N's website, and find something that will work, or you can call AEM and order direct from them. I just bought a new one for mine a few weeks ago.

Why don't you just buy a cleaning kit and clean the filter? They are supposed to be good for 1,000,000 miles or something. Just because the filter lost it's original color doesn't mean it is not good anymore.

I cleaned mine at 10K miles, it was pretty bad. Clumps of mud and tons of little road pebbles. The cleaner / oil kit works great. The cleaner removed all of the red-colored oil, and the spray can reapplies the oil.

I take off the filter shake it hard and put it back on.

One time I changed because it looked pretty bad.
Go to pep boys and get a universal filter for $30.

K&N makes a lot of universal fit filters. Use a ruler to measure the diameter of the pipe, and then go to the K&N web site and find one that fits. I got the part number from the web site (http://www.knfilters.com/), brought it down to the local Kragen store, and had them order me the filter. There are a few filters that fit, but they vary in cone shape. If you can't find the right one, let me know, and I'll dig up my box in the garage for you.
