i just got my bumper fixed yesterday and was painted yesterday...the guy told me to not wash the car yet..wait a couple of days...well its about to rain in my area and i dont have a garage...is it okay to leave it? i rubbed my finger over it and its not wet...help

 

it's fine just don't wash it with any hard cleaners or wax it. wait about 2 weeks or so.

 

Like fili mentioned, its not water thats going to harm the fresh paint/clear coat but any sort of cleaner, soap, wax, etc. A little rain wont hurt it

 

If you really want to wait for the paint to cure it actually takes over a month for fresh paint to completely de-gas. Thats all the solvents in the base coat, primer and catalyst clear coat.

 

i wouldn't drive it much or wash it for about a month
why not wait?
its better than having fresh paint turn to crap

anyways...... the rain shouldn't harm the paint. cover it if you feel you need to......
