89 Civic LX 4dr HELP?

Default 89 Civic LX 4dr HELP?

I bought a 89 Civic 4dr for a beater, the dude I bought it from, in Ft. Worth, only had 1 key and the only place it works is in the ignition. I finally registered it, and got a ket cut off the VIN number. THAT key doesnt work anywhere! WTF? I cant get into the trunk, lock da doors? any suggestions? thanx fellas

Looks like somebody switched the ignition out or all of the other locks. Call a locksmith.

yea I dont understand why someone would switch out ALL the door locks and the trunk and the thing that locks the trunk, and the rear seat? ignition? now this puzzles me and I want to just sell the car

pretty smart to change the ignition.. heheh. most key civic keys can start ef ahahaha. anywayys.. get poor door lock if u dont have one.. junk yard,, an get some, after that get keyless alarm.. heheheh best way to go. unless u wanna change all teh locks on the door an trunk

when i bought my lx i also just had the ignition key. I went to a locksmith and he made me a key for the doors and trunk for $40bucks and it also worked for the ignition.

hmmmmmmm thats odd, why doesnt any of them have keys? wtf? lol I guess Ill see what locksmith I can find thatll hook me up. thanx for da info!

You look in the section called "for sale"

Your first good upgrade could be getting the entire rear disc brake assembly from a 94-01 integra. It's a direct, bolt on swap. Junkyard probably has them.

I know where the "for sale" are is! I was asking where that specific person had, if any, items for sale. geez

and I am not trying to "upgrade" the car, its my beater so I just want it to be stock and run good with everything functioning the way they are supposed to
