Pioneer DEH-P4400? Is this a good first head unit?
I am going to be buying my first head unit for my car. I'm going to have a very low tech system, probably just a head unit and a few upgraded speakers over the stock system.
What do you think about the Pioneer DEH-P4400?
It is priced at $199.99.
Here are the features:

* multicolor display
* rotary volume control
* Supertuner III
* plays CD-Rs and CD-R/W in addition to standard audio CDs
* Easy EQ
* MOSFET50 internal amp
* Sound Focus EQ
* CD changer controls — add a Pioneer changer to your receiver order, and save $$ with Crutchfield's package discount
* XM Satellite Radio controls (XM tuner, antenna, and subscription required to receive signal)
* disc naming
* two sets of preamp outputs — rear set switchable for full-range or subwoofer operation
* low-pass filter (50/80/125 Hz) on sub outputs

Yes, the DEHP4400 is a great head unit for a simple system. It is easy to use, sounds good and has great Pioneer quality.
But don't pay $199.00.....pay $169.95

Looking again, I think I might go with the DEH-6400 because it has an organic display. Will do much better impressing the ladies!
I found it for around $210 with shipping at http://www.etronics.com
How does this sound?
