well the title says the car shakes its a 00 si. the tires are balanced and swap out rims and still shaked it started a few days ago i was in SD and it just started shaking i went home a noticed the the right axle was gone it was broke so i replaced it hoping that was the problem but no it still shakes

 

check the wheel bearings. jack up the car on the pinch weld and shake the wheel side to side and top and bottom...if it has play have someone look and see what is moving....if there is no play make sure the car is in neutral and spin the wheel by hand and see if it feels rough. also check axle nut tightness.

 

Check to see if you have a whirring sound at low speed, that is a good sign of wheel bearing failure. Check your bushings and make sure they are not torn. There is a guy around here named Paul Walker that tried to Tokyo Drift his 2000 EX 4 Door, now he complains of the same thing.

Inspect your ball joints and ensure they are still good.

I'd like to know how you drove a peg-leg tranny missing an axle.... If the axle was completely absent, replace the wheel bearing, your lucky the whole damn hub didn't come apart and throw you in the ditch somewhere.

 

well the axle thing.. well i jacked it up and started ckecking my suspension i was shaking the axles and the right side will have play on it so i pulled it out and the inner shaft was gone u can rotate the axle oppsite ways it was weird i how made a 4hr drive like that

 

If that was truly the case, it wouldn't move, peg-legs transfer power along the path the least resistance, and was also proven by a stupid friend the other day when he popped the outside joint out and couldn't move his car, thought his trans was toasted.

 

well i have no idea how it moved but i was lucky to make it home
