clacking sound from dash?
i have a 93 cx hatch with the d15b7. after driving for about an hour or so ill park it and when i turn it off there is this pounding sound from behind the gauges in the dash somewhere. what the hell is it? it doesnt sound good lol. has anyone had this happen before.

It's metal expanding. Most cars do this. My car does this. My girlfriend's car does this. My old car did this. My truck did this. My mom's car does this. My dad's car does this.

yes it was all of the above.... my turn signal fluid was low and my muffler bearings were coming apart, plus there was a bomb which i disarmed just in time. also there were a bunch of mice and then vtec fell out of my exhaust. ohh and then my extra valves....lol nm. thanks for the help guys at least you made me laugh ill fix it by turning up the cd player as i do with everything else.

I was being serious. It's just metal expanding due to the differences in temperatures.

lol yea and contracting as well a short while after you shut the engine off dont forget.
oddly enough my vechile doesnt do this right now, maybe it doesnt make enough power to heat itself up..... what is it like 75 at the flywheel and maybe 50 at the wheels and with the ac on i average maybe 40..... similar to a 1600cc air cooled vw engine in power production.

with the hood scoop you'll be pushing 1000+WHP and you'll hear that metal clanking for 7 weeks straight
