Slipping
Ok guys - I am new here so, be gentle... I have a 1999 teg LS with 80,000 miles. I haven't had any issues with the car: However, recently when I accelerate, the engine or trans feels like it is slipping only for a couple of seconds - then it takes off. The slipping feeling has gotten gradually more noticeable and it only happens when going from a standstill. Any suggestions/ideas?

Then you can change your tranny fluid while your changing your clutch, it will also benifit you too because it will make the tranny lighter

To test, put up ur E-brake. Try to let the car move. If it doesn't move, you need to change the clutch. Keep in mind that once it moves, stop immediately.
As for price, clutches can be a little pricey. But they range from 250-400 depending on which brand and what stage. Installation costs will vary depending on you area, you're just going to have to get a quote from any local shops or a honda dealer if there's any nearby.

haha...if its manual change the clutch and the oil...its its auto then your tranny fluid is low...and it must be leaking or somthing in order for it to be low...so change the seal and the oil in the auto

yikes man if the auto tranny fluid has never been changed, you definitely need to get a complete tranny flush done. I know there is a filter in there somewhere also, not sure if that needs to be changed or just cleaned. I don't know a whole lot about automatic transmissions.

i do know however...you can use a petroleum based spray i.e. carburator cleaner, to spray in the tranny to get all the crap out and there is a filter and possible a magnet in the bottom of the pan you need to clean also...if its slipping it means that it lost some oil so there is a leak and you should replace the seal...or it my be just so bad that it just needs to be flushed...i dont know you need to look under there and check it out...
