I have my fans jumped on all the time without any ill effects. The only thing I can imagine being bad would be wearing out your fan motors earlier.

my fan is hooked up to a switch in my car on the consol... i turn them on everytime i start my car... no bad effects just helps the engine stay cooler quicker... besides i like having the control instead of letting the car decide when they come on... i've blown a couple headgaskets racing all because the car relaying things messed up... so i control all that i can ...

Why not just get a lower temp fan switch so the fan comes on at a lower temp? But the only bad things would be wearing out your fans earlier, and drawing more power from your electrical system, making your battery and alternator work harder.
