Default Well this is my last resort cause know one seems to know how its done. jus seein if theres some good

Hey guys well i posted once and got no response so ill try to maybe get lucky with someone who knows a little something about swaps. Well i have a 1997 Honda prelude SH and some major probs went wrong with it so i bought a 97-01 h22a OBD 2 jdm motor from tigerjapanese.com and got the engine pretty quick. it has an LSD Tranny to so ya.

i got a guy working on it and he and i ran into many problems figuring out how this is gonna work. I havnt been able to get anyone who realy knows wat there talking about to help me out. I'm realy needing to get this done and realy am looking for someone who might have done this swap before or heard exactly how to do it.

i keep getting told different things but its all little things like "swap your oil pumps" and thats all they say, nothing else like why or wat it will do and thats what i realy need is a thourough explanation. please someone help me with this swap im realy getting to the giving up point. if theres to much info to type this is my cell number but please no pranks.(515-371-****) thanks to anyone who can help

Wouldn't it just work with a non-SH ECU? I don't know a damn thing about an SH though. I mean I wouldn't even know what to do with one.

I heard that i might be able to try that but they werent realy sure. I do know u most likely have to change the dizzy. but im not sure how to plug in the Crank Position sensor after that since its in the jdm dizzy?

they say to swap the oil pumps because in an ODBII motor, that is where the crank sensor is located, the JDM motor will not have it there. you will also probably need to use a base model ecu to run the motor, I don't think the SH ecu will work. Other than that, use your old distributor, and fuel rail, and the rest should bolt up.

Someone tell me (this is going to sound stupid) but run the ecu from a car without ATTS correct?
(idk if it's an SH or base that comes with ATTS, don't know ANYTHING about 5th gens.)

you could use your jdm ecu, but if you have to pass any kind of emissions test, you will fail, because your car will no longer be OBDII. Your JDM dizzy is internal coil, hence it has one less plug, unless you want to modify you harness, use your old dizzy which will plug right in to your existing harness.

This is an empire. You cannot assume that English is his first language, and we should struggle to understand people instead of criticizing them.

You cannot assume anything about somebody's character because he does not have a good command of English.

Help him the best you can.

It's hard to believe that in 2007 somebody would want help so bad that he publishes a phone number, but I guess it's possible.

You might be a troll or this could be a prank, but prudence demands at any rate that I remove your phone number.

You can provide it via PM to people you think might be able to help you.

The user's status has been accelerated so that he can PM.

i am curious as to the correct answer too (looking to swap myself), so i figure start with the ECU code and that will tell you what your working with. correct me if i'm wrong, but the dizzy and oil pump and all are OBD2 related so all sensors and harness connections should be the same, minus the ATTS ECU. maybe i am missing something
