Default no cel codes

OK, so I go to pull a cel code from my car, and put a jumper wire in the blue plug, and turn the key to the on pos... No codes were thrown.. Now, when I start the car, the cel doesn't come on right away, like 2-5 seconds after the car is running, anyone know what could be the cause of this problem? It makes my car really jumpy and boggy down low..Like it wants to die, if I dont rev it up that is. Now if i rev the engine a lil and let the clutch out, it goes pretty good, but not as well as expected.. Oh ya the car is a 1997 honda civic cx h/b with the d16y7 engine... Any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance

Matt

While your car is running and showing the cel, then jump it.

It should flash, count the long and short ones.

So, it's safe to start the car with the jumper in it? Or start the car then jump it?

Put the jumper in the harness then start the car.
