Navi Owners, Does your aux input jack sound like crap?

Navi Owners, Does your aux input jack sound like crap?
I just now got around to trying the aux input jack and there is this really annoying buzz noise that I can hear whenever I plug something in. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Are you using a quality AUX cable ? or a cheaper one from RadioShack?
Is there anything plugged into the Power outlet also & are the 2 wires running next to each other.
And is the device in question an ipod or something else.
