Relocating Battery
You can relocate the battery anywhere, but the negative cable goes to the fuse box... the Positive end usually goes to the distributor and then branches off every where.
You can check it, but im almost positive. I mean the wireing harness ( positive power ) does go to the fuse box, but you have ground comeing out of it as well. So I should actually correct myself, and say you have both. But there are two corrigated tubes that come out of the fuse box, one negative and one positive that entail a bunch or wires. This is for the completion of circuits by the fuses within the box.

run the positive to the fusebox and alternator lead and the negative to the chassis near where you move the batttery. it is a good idea to fuse the positive lead so your car dosen't burn down in case there is a short.

if your relocating to the back, run 1/0 gauge from fuse box to rear of car for POSITIVE side. (I'm assumning your relocating to the trunk.) For NEGATIVE side run wire from battery to any part of chasis that you can secure down with a pre-existing bolt. For example, shock tower. Running both a positive and negative from the fuse box is unessecary.

the last relocation I did I used a mountable battery terminal and put it on the firewall ran a 4 ga to the rear for the battery. ran 8 ga to the fuse box and 4 ga to the starter. left the stock alternator lead that goes into the fusebox alone. then negative term 4 ga to frame rail w/ 1/2 in bolt
