Ebay knock-off performance parts are not good. The welds are usually the first thing to go, with the turbo kits the turbos also seize often.

Yeah, in terms of fitment it's basically the same, though get it for your trim instead of getting it for the EX.

The only problem I have w/ any pre-made turbo setup is the fuel management sucks, you have to get a chipped P28 or try to run their loser *** piggy backs or e-manage.

Yeah, that's basically what it boils down to. It could give you anything, it coudl give you 50whp, it could give you 500hp - depending on the setup, build, etc.

Assuming you wanna stay on stock internals you'd be stupid to push it much past 200whp - and that's with a dyno tune.

So it's safe to say that on a stock D-series motor you can double your WHP if you play your cards right, shop smart, don't get too hasty, and read A LOT.

With any boost your likely to blow up your auto tranny.

The clutch packs are thin as paper.

Learn to drive a stick.

Any tuner you take an auto-turboed-D-series to will laugh at you.

Yeah, because you'd blow the trans on the dyno run, lol.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Hatchback93 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well assuming i throw in the complete turbo kit with my auto trans. around how much hp will it end up with?

Not much, with the stock D auto trans I wouldn't boost above 160whp, and even then it's pushing it.

Swap the transmission for a 5speed, it's REALLY easy, ANYBODY can do it. D-series transmissions are cheap, no cutting required, very simple procedure, do that, and you can boost the stock motor up to ~200whp on stock internals - say around $2000 assuming the 5sp tranny already is installed and you'll have a working, tuned, boosting, turbo .

On that note, I think I'm going to push you into the "Forced induction forum" for you to read everything you can get your hands on.

And buy a book about installing aftermarket turbo systems, read that too. Then when you're done with that, start googling **** to read about. When it comes to big power adders (nitrous, superchargers, and turbochargers), you can NEVER know too much about it, as one slip up can fry ur engine.

for example a 5spd gets smoked by an auto. lol

im not going to race. not going to runs.

just the feeling of having an auto eg with mass hp.

if i wanted to go 5spd and go 200-400hp its no problem.

never seen a 5 speed get smoked by an auto if they were eveny matched... also why would you put a turbo on a car if you dont plan on running it on a track or racing to see what it does? stay away and keep your gas milage.

i would say that the WG and clamps are crap, more than likely you will need more pipeing, but other than that it should hold up fine.

i have an egay turbo and its holding up good, not to mention i didnt even put a oil restrictor on untill 2weeks later and have been abuseing the **** out of it and its holding up so far. also had my oil return line was kind of clogged up with oil so the turbo was basically drowning in oil, my tuner is surprised it isn't blow up yet.

your still going to need little things but for turbo wise my egay turbo is holding up for now.

you still need to research alot more but research before you buy anything.....like under stand how it is going to fit/work and where it is going to go, and for all the people that have not had experience with egay turbo's please do everybody a favor and shut up. you havent had any experience with the product there for you are saying what the whole band wagon is saying.
