the code is #9 cyp has anyone had this problem how do i fix it info on my car its a 96 hatch with a 2000 b16 im using a 96 sohcvtec harness and i cant seem to get rid of this problem ive tryed using diffrent distributors and ecus and still have no luck any suggestions would be very helpful

I'm pretty sure it's speaking of the crank positioning sensor, though I didn't know there was one. What you might wanna look into is the '00 B16 having a CPS and the '96 harness not having a p lug for one.

 

code nine is cylinder position

 

disconect the battery for 10 secs tyen reconnect and start the car then tell me if the light stays on!

 

im a try that tomorrow not a bad idea

 

this would make my idle act crazy correct cause my car idles @ 1500 rpms and i know that aint normal lol thanks for the ideas guys
