the push off is great, just finished my install, the good thing is, the cables are not too long. if you run just the reg on off switch, you have to relocate the batt to the back, or run 2 4ga cables atleast.

i like the maz kill. mine is all setup.

I have the battery in the back. I was looking at push/pull switch. I dont know if I want to go with Flaming River one or Summit one. Does anyone have experience between those. I also would like to know the quality difference.

this is probably the most logical way to do it, being there is less cable, and less chance for voltage drop along the cable. it is also lighter to run a single morse cable to the rear of the car(which is used to flip the switch on or off from the rear of the vehicle), rather than 2 , 4 awg battery cables all the way to the back + the switch in the rear.

Is it legal to run battery behind firewall without a box?

This is a street car.

well you keep the battery in the stock spot, and run a large cable to the switch, and run another cable from the switch back to the battery(you dont have to run large cable, but it would be smarter to be able to carry the amps). then you use a morse cable (which activates the switch) to the rear of the vehicle. these morse cables are very user friendly with a variety of cable stops and cable ends that you can chose from.

stolen from Tunerzine.com (this is the James Innes battery kill setup)

instead of having the kill switch in the engine bay, you can put it inside the car, under the dash, hanging off the side of the A-pillar or A-pillar bars if you have a 10pt cage

I used a Jeg's brand one that failed after about a week. Changed to a Moroso and haven't had a problem since. Please use a circuit breaker at the battery in case the wire shorts out and causes a fire.

Not true.

It has to be non flamable. The flaming river is not. It's not plastic. It's a composite material.

And to my best understanding it's the plastic key type switches that are not allowed.

If it goes on battery side how does it kill the alternator cause you are still getting power from the battery.

Thats power FROM the alt to the battery. It works like this.... With the motor running and the switch closed the alt charges the battery and the rest of the system. With the switch open it kills the alt output power and the battery at the same time. I have tested it and it does work.... I know my electronics.
