Default Please help me find axle needed, just did a auto to manual conversion

It's a 98' Prelude automatic. I just finished converting it to manual. I was almost ready go for a test drive and realized that the new Intermediate shaft has a female end on the driver side (big hole). And my driver side axle also has a female end. I went to advanced and all they had were the female end type axles. I am using a M2A2 transmission. What axle can I use?

wtf? your driver side axle only has a female end?

a driver side axle should look exactly like a passenger side, two male ends.

I am talking about the inner cv, not the outer that bolts to the hub.

Yes, and I'm telling you that both the inner and outer cv joints have male ends on both sides.

I'm gonna go get a pic for you.

I get what you are saying now, I misread it the first time. I know that is the axle I need, what car/year does it come from?

It comes from your car, your year. Just not AT

AT axles aren't female anyways.

I think you bought SH axles or something....can you take a pic of that thing?

if you check here: http://www.napaonline.com/mast...tId=8
it looks like the drivers' side has a female spline on the inboard joint. Are you using the intermediate shaft from the auto? it looks like for the 4th gens at least the auto had a male spline on both sides of the shaft, doesn't specify there for the 5th gens.

Yup, I checked with napa, pep boys, and advanced auto parts. They all sell axles for a 98' prelude with abs with a female spline on the inner cv joint. I just bought a non abs axle and it came with a male inner cv joint. That makes no sense, I thought all 98' preludes were abs equip'd?

No I can't use the auto intermediate shaft because it does not fit with the manual m2a4 tranny. I had to get a 5spd intermediate shaft which has a female end on the driver side. I just got the axle today, advanced auto parts only has axles for non abs 98' preludes. I told them that their computer is wrong and to order that part anyway. It came in today and it was a abs axle with a male inner cv end.

Ok here is the issue. When I put the manual transmission in the intermediate shaft would not go into the transmission because the part of the shaft that bolts onto the block made the shaft go in at a angle. So I bought a what I thought was 5spd half shaft it has a female end on the driver side. The old shaft had a male end, and I cant find a driver side axle with a male end they only come with female ends. So what am I suppose to do?
