Noob Question: jackin up FA5
Right, so muscle car experience: Jack up the front, put jackstands under the frame if you're doing suspension work, or under the front A arms just to get the car up. Jack up the rear by the differential and put jackstands under the rear axle or frame rails in front of the tires.
Now in that lovely world, the frame was large and there is nothing plastic underneath the car.
Enter FA5.
I found the front/rear jack points, as well as the side ones shown in the manual (about 3 inches from the side of the car...which looks real flimsy). That and I've never seen so much plastic on the underside of a car in my entire life.
So, if someone would be so kind as to be very specific...exactly where should I place my jackstands so that I'm not bending/breaking the underside of my new car.
All the pics and DIY's on here and the 8th and HHU are vague....

Ouija, you can also use the front and rear cross members for initial jack points. You will need a low profile jack for the front, because most jacks that raise the car up high enough to be able to put jack stands under the side jack points (yes, those metal flanges are strong enough even though they don't look like it!) are too tall to fit under the front bumper I've found.
The cross members are easily identified as they are right next to the sway bars.
