then save some more money and send it somewhere to have them do it right..you will end up doing more harm than good, get your intake manifold port matched while your at it..

100% agreed. This isn't as simple as porting a head or intake manifold. The TB needs to remain as round as possible to function properly

A TB can be done blindfolded, with a lathe. Porting a head takes a LONG time and requires a LOT of skill and understanding about airflow, nevermind requiring an expensive flow bench...

Ok, you can bore the tb if you want, but you will only be able to do the first part of it with a dremel, and that probably isn't even worth your time. Doing the manifold is easy, just use a cutoff wheel like for a drill.

The dremel SUCKS on aluminum for the most part, every bit I tried sucks big ***....

Having a lathe is perfect for this kinda stuff, get a machine shop to do the IM and get maxbore to do your tb.

Ok, I'll rephrase it. If you have access to a lathe, then boring a TB is much easier than porting a head, but otherwise, I'd rather do the head. A flow bench is a very handy thing to have, but anyone with a good pair of eyes (or a recent prescription and clean lenses) and a good understanding of air flow can do a decent port job

A first timer with a dremel and fresh contacts is at a 5% chance of actually increasing airflow without a flowbench.

Brad Z with a dremel is another story altogether.

BTW if you lathe the throttle body keep in mind that you will need a new, bigger butterly

KB58's right. It's easy if you have the tools.

i bored mine to 62 after digging out a Legend TB plate:

you're not going to want to do it with a dremel. You can portmatch the manifold but not actually bore it.
