Default Seibon

Is it worth getting a Seibon Carbon Fiber hood? I own an EJ8 and just wondering if it would be a lot less then stock hood weight. Also i hear that you have to cut some of the skeleton just so the hood can go down all the way? Is this worth the 500+ dollars?

I thought the same thing until I heard you can push down with one finger on these hoods and it could dent in a little and pop back out. Idk what to do.

i have a seibon carbon fiber hood on my ej8 right now and love it, no cutting underneath to fit over the engine, fitment was awesome, it is very light compared to stock, and it doesn't press in when you put a finger on it. here's a pic just for reference to see how it fits. it was definitly worth the money

I personaly can't justify getting a CF hood unless I got one used. Used they go for peanuts and can be cleaned up for nothing.

I wouldn't pay $500 for ~10lbs in weight savings, stock hoods only weigh ~24lbs.

It'd be nice to have one to offest my white paint, but I'm going to wait until I find one for a steal.
