1988 integra brake caliper removal
Im having a problem removing the top bolt of the caliper for my 88 integra. No tool seems to fit in there for some reason. Is there a special tool for it? I've already tried allen keys, torques, and all sorts. Another thing, there is a cap covering it and cant seem to figure out if its even a bolt in there.

Should just be bolts holding the caliper on, and removal with normal sockets, rachet or wrenches. There are no caps on any bolts. The only cap is a rubber cap covering the brake fluid bleeder valve.

The bottom has a normal bolt but the top has this rubber cap and inside there is some type of bolt that cannot be removed with normal tools thats why I asked if there was a special tool to remove it.
Okay, I wasn't able to find an 88 integra manual, but found an 88 Civic manual. The brake caliper removal looked the same. From what I can see, it is the same as shown in the Autozone link I posted above for the Integra.
To remove the front caliper:
1. You would remove the lower caliper bolt (12 x 1.2 mm).
2. Then you remove the banjo bolt & disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
You should be able to slide the caliper off after that. The top of the caliper appears to just slide on to a caliper slide pin. See second image for the caliper slide pin.

If you need to remove the caliper bracket after that, it is held in with the 12 mm bolts shown in the second image.

The reason why it wasnt coming off was becuz the bolt was missing from the top and thought there was something there to remove. Just so happens there were 2 other bolts that I havent noticed (had it not been for your diagram) so everythings good now.
My 88 integra will hopefully be on the road soon after I remove the hub becuz of these 3 snapped lugs I have to replace. This is one hell of a job!
