Default B16 w/B16 tranny vs. B16 w/GSR tranny, both cars equal, who would win?

I have a B16 swap in my car with a B16 Tranny, my buddy has a B16 swap with a GSR tranny. Our cars are about equal. I would think I would have the advantage in the beginning, but because of his longer gearing he will stay in VTEC longer and eventually pass me and win. Any thoughts?

If it's a newer B16a (99-00) then the B16a tranny would take it.

B16a gearing is identical to the Type-R, just no LSD.

GSR tranny has taller gearing.

http://tiiite.b16a.com/Bgears.htm
the SI has a LITTLE shorter gears than the ITR
the del sol has the same as the itr

and yes, the b16 w/ b16 tranny would win

I have a 2000 B16 Tranny connected to a crvtec and I love it. For launching the 00 B16 tranny is better than a gsr tranny.

Exactly the same except for 1st gear - 1st delSol = 3.307, 1st Civic Si/ITR = 3.230.

gs-r's powerband starts at 4400, so thats why i think it has taller gearing(?). i think the b16 with the b16tranny would win because it would reach its powerband the fastest.

i have a gsr tranny on my b16a, yeah its kinda slow when launching. i've race 99-00 civic SI's and they always take me at the hole but i would catch up at 3rd gear.
