i've got a '90 hatch with a '00 LS motor and '92LS trans. car ran great for 8 months, transmission blew up a couple days ago, replaced it, buttoned everything up...now the car will not start. i'm getting a cel 16. i've checked my grounds, checked every plug, made sure no wires were broken everything. i'm at a stand still. anyone have any idea?

fuel injectors. i find it really hard to believe that my injector(s) went bad on a simple tranny swap

 

I figured it out. When I pulled the motor and tranny to replace the junk tranny... I of course pulled the fuel lines off. I had air in the fuel lines, sprayed some brake cleaner in it and it fired up and got the air out, now it runs just fine.

 

ok, i lied. i'm getting cel 1, 6, 9, and 14. it seems as though all these sensors share a common ground. so away I go with the fluke tomorrow to try to trace down a bad ground...sigh

 

did you reconnect the transmission ground?

& thermostat ground?

 

yes, i reconnected the tstat ground and tranny ground. and the engine ground.
