How do you know if you have purchased a REAL mugen twinloop for dc2r?

I purchased just the axleback for wifey's itr and am wondering how to know if it's real or fake. I just want to be sure, and I'm a little ocd I know.....

 

check out the bottom underneath the muffler on the canister. should say JASMA and a certain number

also, on the actual tip, it should have Mugen Power engraved in (see pic)

 

also, you can kinda see what im talking about on the little badge on the bottom of the muffler

So from your description, it sounds like it's real... although there's only one jasma badge on the bottom whereas the pics you posted have two.....

 

Also, the jasma plate has the following:

002 (then some jdm script that I can't read)
96-000289

 

yours is real. some came with two tags depending on model. the other tag will have the mugen insignia, the other will have the jasma insignia

your good to go man. lock this thread and tell the wife to enjoy.


ek twinloop 2 stamps (you can see the mugen power insignia)



dc2 r twin loop and bpipe (1 stamp on muffler)




and the photo rino put is the type r db8 (4 door type r) muffler. which will have two stamps

i need to clean up and polish my exhaust

 

it also weighs about 100 lbs.

what is the diameter of the piping?
