QUESTION about CTR / EK9 Climate Control .... ? ? ? Different Styles of 99-00 CTR climate controls?
Thanks to all who respond to this. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the 99 - 00 CTR/EK9 Climate Control? I bought two of them recently and they both look identical, HOWEVER, the buttons for the a/c and temperature (climate control buttons) are different. I will get pics up soon. One of the climate controls has buttons/***** that look identical to USDM 99-00 Civic CLimate Controls except they are on the right side (because of the right hand drives in Japan).
Now, the second CTR climate control I bought looks different than any other 99-00 CTR climate control i've ever seen... It has the carbon fiber (simulated) bezel with the badge... The Defrost buttons are the same... HOWEVER, the wierd thing about is the 3 ***** for the A/C / temperature / speed of air flow contols. These ***** say "auto" on them like my RSX climate controls. It's kinda wierd and unique I might ad. I will post up pics soon. Has anyone seen this before?
EDIT:
Just letting you all know, I got the CTR Climate Control today and it was all plug and play and it absolute fits with a little "elbow grease" the US 99-00 Civic. The "Auto" Controls work and are "plug and play". I didn't need a sensor or anything. I love it and so far it's the only climate control i've seen for the CTR 99-00 that has the "auto" feature. I'm happy.

hello sir. noob here. il try to answer your question. cmiiw.
the auto on the other panel would mean the same as an auto climate a/c.
the one without the auto is just an ordinary a/c.
what the auto does is when the interior temp is lets say 32degress and you set the a/c temp to 22 then Auto. the Fan motor would definetely run at full speed. then would gradually lower its Fan motor speed based on the 22temp. up until it reaches the 22temp. then the fan motor would just run same as the number 1 fan motor speed on the manaul control (without auto).

Thanks, I know all about it lol. I was just wondering if people have ever seen it before. I've never seen it before and when I picked it up I was just like "Woah, this seems like a rare piece."

and because i'd like to know as well....
So, from what people have commented about it so far, I guess it is indeed an "optional" of the Civic Type R... A rare part I guess.
