p28 ecu
so i searched it and all it comes up are p28s for sale but what i want to know is why is the p28 ecu so popular among the other obd1 ecus? is there some particular in this ecu that everyone favors? I wanted to swap out my obd2 p72 for an obd1 chipped p28 but would an obd1 p72 make any difference? Thanks

Depends on if somebody can chip the OBD-I P72.
I don't think you can, but I could be wrong.
The P28 ECU is popular because it's easier to chip for tuning. if you don't plan on tuning it there's no sense in chipping ur ECU.

good point. i guess it's because most people dont know any better and only go by other people's suggestions to get p28's when in reality any obd1 ecu can work. even non vtec and auto ecu's can be made to work.
dont expect anything drastic. you can smooth out the afr's and pick up a few hp here and there.
