Quick Question (headed to junk yard tomorrow)
I'm headed to the junkyard tomorrow to look for 3 things. Sun visor, drivers side door panel, and knock sensor.
I need to know if the door panels are the same for coupes and hatchbacks alike, and also what size wrench i need for the knock sensor. (i cant check that because it doesnt have a knock sensor in it)
I also would like to know if having the knock sensor unplugged will cause the engine to derate? (retard timing etc.)

If you have a 99 EX Coupe, like your sig and post suggest (thanks for the providing the details!! 
)...
The Door Panels are the same between the 2 and 3 door 96-00 Civic models, regardless of Trim Level.

99EX coupe has power windows. If he needs the whole panel...he would need to find a coupe with power windows/locks/mirrors. Dont know if you need the whole panel though. No hatchbacks came with that stuff from the factory (U.S.).
knock sensor is a 27mm deep socket. Not sure if the ECU automatically retards timing with no knock sensor present, but it would make sense.
Good luck finding an 96+ex with the motor in it at a junkyard. The knock sensor is hard to find. My friend broke his and he had to buy one from a shop around here for like $100. Honda listed it at $170 for employees.
