Default Just finished wet sanding some spots, and i think i f*ed up, please help

Just finished wet sanding a couple spots.... Used 1000 grit... After wet sanding could see some swirl marks, which I assume is normal, and I tried using some polishing compound then wax... This did NOTHING! There are still swirl marks you can see that are very visible...

Is the wax im using not good enough? Its meguires, but it seems very thin and liquidy, not thick at all. Please help, it looks like total crap and I dont wana drive it to work Mon if it still looks like this.. I really need help guys, the paint job looked great except the spots I tried to wet sand out, and now it looks even worse with what seems to look like the cear coat is completely gone...

I also tried Meguires scratch X wich seemed to help but only a VERY little... Still looks like total CRAP. Any help, MUCH appreciated!!

heres the problem...you used too rough of grit to wetsand and on top of that your trying to hand rub 1000 grit sanding marks by hand which could barely be removed with a rotary and wool pad....most of your problem is that you just didnt FINISH with a finer grit.. Go either get some 3m wet or dry or the preferred meguiars unigrit paper. Now that youve sanded with 1000 grit, hit every spot lightly with 2000 followed by 3000. After that either get a Porter cable or a Rotary with a foam cutting pad and an aggressive polish, followed by a polishing pad and a finer or finishing polish. As long as you didnt go through the clear when you were wetsanding, this should turn out perfect.

Meguiars #85, 84, 83, Optimum Hyper compound, optimum compound, Hi-temp extreme cut, Poorboys world SSR3 or 2.5, and many more. Because that fact that you chose to wetsand your car with what I believe is wood sandpaper from home depot, I dunno if youll be able to correct it or not.

you don't want to use sandpaper from home depot, use some thats made for wet sanding, ug i forget the brand but its at napa/advanced auto, etc...
