Default 89 Civic Sedan is stalling at stop signs, and just dies

My daughter has her grandmothers' 89 Civic DX. 1.5 litre. Fuel Injection.
It had starting problems where it would only start after the 5th try or you had to wait for 20 minutes if the car was hot. Replaced the igniter, rotor, distributor. Starts fine, mechanic told us to replace that on our own.
Now the problem is it just stalls at lights or stop signs, sometimes the car just dies while driving it. The other night, everything just quit all at once. Boom nothing. She waited a couple of seconds and it started. Not stuttering or hesitating, just completely cuts out, electrical, fuel, like the car wasn't even on. Noticed it does it when just gone down a hill or up one. Can't hear the car idle sometimes, so quiet, yet on start up it shakes the h out of the car. Tail pipe is black.
Any ideas? We're ready to sell it for parts at this point, yet it runs great otherwise. Just stalls lots. She has little money on her part time job.

Idler control Valve right behind the intake manifold. That controls the idle. Had problems when i would drive then go to stop sign or just even slowing down and turning...it would shut off. valve right behind the throttle body. 2 bolts holding it down with 2 small radiator hose connected to it.

dx model

Right side of the of the fuel injectors.

Will try to get these at the auto parts place. I'm pretty handy working on engines, and have done the rotor, distributor, spark plugs and the igniter up till now.
Thanks for giving me the area as to where they are.

She desperately needs the car for work.

Grace...

Phoned the auto parts and they said there were two main relays. One is with power? and he doesn't know what that is about. Can you fill in this mom.
The engine is an automatic and 1.5 litre... Idler Control Valve they don't have and I have to source it...
