Z6 Manifold vs. Megan racing header
I currently have a DX hatch with a shity y7...i have a D16z6 exhaust manifold that i have to retap the o2 sensor threads befor i can use it. my question is, wich would make more power on a D16y7, the z6 manifold? or am i better off just getting a megan racing header?
PS i have megan racing drift-spec cat back...

Not much of a diffy. I have an MR header on my 97 civic ex, i really didn't notice much of a difference, perhaps in the mid-higher rpms, that's about it. Just rock stock for now, as the gains in HP/TQ aren't enough to warrant spending a few hundred on an after market header.
There are quality some quality headers out there, but for the price vs HP gains just aren't warranted unless you're going for all NA power. Doing that on a SOHC is kind of futile, unless you have fist fulls of cash ready to drop on your engine.

alright thanks... as i see it, anything is better then the y7 mani with an empty cat that leaks... and if anything id probobly keep a little bit more torque with the z6...i supose a little less ricer buzz too!
actually the tone didn't change much with the header change.. It got a little more raspy, but it was pretty slight. I'll post up exhaust sound vids if you're interested in how much it changed the exhaust note
ohh i see... you dont have to post up anything...im jyst gone fix the threads, get new gaskets, throw it on and call it a day...
