If i leave my car sit for like 10+ hrs the batt dies... and then when i put on the jumper cables the neg side of the batter sparks... do i need a new batt or do i need to get a better ground..?

Youve got a drain somewhere if you have a sound system check that somethings stealing juice if the negs sparking

Check everything before you end having to buy to something

Pull the fuse for the radio and see if it still does it.

Something drawing power, check to make sure your interior lights arent on, yeah stupid but its usually stupid crap that gets ya.

Start yankin fuses 1 by 1 and find what stuck on.

Do you have an alarm? If yes, unplug the brain to the alarm!!! Alarm Brains are known to drain power when going bad...

There is the start of your problems, The car should idel 13.75 to 14.5 volts. It should be on the 14 volt sides. I would go have the alternaotor tested. Then have a voltage draw test on the car.

so i put in a new batt and my battery light came on.. then when i was on the high way i got on it and my bad volt went up to 15.7..... i dont think this is normal.. lol

Also.. i have no more low beams from when i had the other batt in and i was driving then they just shut off and i had to use my high beams..

Well since you have a bad regulator in your car. You provided a nice voltage spike. This in turned blew the fuse to your headlights. I would not drive the car to you fix the alternator. Better be luck that its not the ecu. Word of advice fix it soon or your battery is going to overheat and explode.
