I am just wondering what kind of mods do you have to buy to get a b18b rev a little bit higher than 6800. What should I buy and what should I be looking for(parts)?

 

head work will allow you to rev higher. (i.e. springs, retainers and cams)

head work isn't cheap tho but worth it down the road

Some crower 404's, with aftermarket valve spring and retainers, 11.5-12:1 CR, after market intake, intake manifold, larger TB throttle body, good header and a 2.5" exhaust will make the b18b non-vtec scream

 

does the same hold true for a b18c1?

Don't forget the weak link when it comes to reving a B18A/B block higher than the stock red line, the rod bolts. ARP rod bolts are a must.

 

Stock b18b's can rev out safely to 7100 rpm on stock internals..........
