hey guys i have a stock 93 civic just rebuilt the motor and trans and i put it back int he car all the wires are hooked up and it just cranks no start just wondering if there was a way to rest my ecu.

 

to reset the ecu just unplug it for 10 seconds and plug it in again or take out ur ecu fuse for 10 seconds and put it back in

 

i did that and it still did the same thing just crank.and my friend told me to look and if there is a reset on the ecu and i didnt see anything

 

Well, if it doesn't start, check for spark or fuel.

 

im not getting spark and the injectors arent opening i know that already i was told to reset the ecu

 

Disconnect your negative battery terminal, count to 10, reconnect.

If it doesn't start, it's something else.

 

yea i disconnect the battery every time im done working on it so.but it still comes up with the cel so im going to pull the jumper wire from the ecu and count away.when i get a chance.see what it comes up with and go from there.
